One of the most popular things to do while at Caddo is getting in a canoe or a kayak and paddling one of the many recognized trails. Caddo is home to thousands of bald cypress trees covered in spanish moss, and one of the best ways to experience their beauty is to get out on the water. Trails of all lengths and different difficulty levels are available to all. The state park website has a list of the 10 recognized trails and their starting points.
Hiking the trails near the state park is also great way to see the lake and all the natural beauty Caddo has to offer. You will witness many species of bird and animal that call Caddo home, as well as the majestic Bald Eagle. There are many easy to moderate hikes you can take while visiting.
Caddo Lake is a popular bass fishing lake with good numbers of trophy size bass available. The spawn is always a great time to catch some large fish, but you can catch bass year round on Caddo. The lake also supports crappie, white perch, and catfish. Bring your boats and launch with convenience at our onsite concrete boat ramp.
